[Eng.] Ellipse Knot (Hole) mixes video with computer graphics. It is circular and simulates an elliptical cut on the exhibition wall to show what is behind the room. Through this ellipse, a germination of digital forms that curl up on top of each other begins. Such an effect was produced with structural variations of a toral knot. In mathematical theory, the toral knot is understood as a loop that rotates on itself, varying in a number of internal turns and in the general axis. I have in this work one of the possible images about the correlation between internal and external circumstances of the creative and expository condition. Both what is below and beyond the white exhibition wall stimulate me to think about the practice of art.

→ This work is part of the master's research Poetic Contagion in Space: towards actions in the urban context by the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, with emphasis on Visual Poetics, Art and Technology research line. The study consists of the development of artistic practice and theoretical reflection related to the idea of contagion between artistic work and its context of insertion, focusing on poetic intervention in the urban environment. Under the guidance of Reinilda Minuzzi, the research covers the period from 2012 to 2014, with funding from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES/Federal Government/Brazil).
